This made me think of ee cumming’s “somewhere i have never travelled” here are some of the lines (quoted from memory, so there is a slight possibility that some lines may be unreliably recalled)
somewhere i have never travelled, gladly beyond any experience, your eyes have their silence: in your most frail gesture are things which enclose me, or which i cannot touch because they are too near…
(there are stanzas in-between these)
i do not know what it is about you that closes and opens;only something in me understands the voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands
why did this entry remind of the poem? something to do with the tender, pure crystalline raindrops that makes me go wax poetic, or at least quote poetry from my dubious memory 🙂
Alex, i found you thru Bong’s blog. I think I know you. Did you stay at Molave Residence Hall before? I was a sophie, while you were a senior.. or a fifth year? I don’t know.
If you know Marcel del Rosario, then you must be from Molave nga, since Marcel is batch 94 hehe. Nice to have found you here! Will link you!
ey pas, i recognize that poem from the song from the Beauty and the Beast tv series in the 80s :)”the first time i loved forever… lalala.” every true poet (or poem aficionado) must love rain.
hey althea! yep, i did stay in molave 🙂 thanks for dropping by! I don’t know marcel personally but the name sounds familiar. it’s a small (blog) world after all. hehe.
