a friend’s psalm

A sleepless friend on the other side of the planet shares a Psalm.

Psalm 103

Of David.

1 Praise the LORD, O my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

2 Praise the LORD, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits-

3 who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,

4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,

5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

6 The LORD works righteousness
and justice for all the oppressed.

And half-a-world away I say, “Amen!”

  1. i forgot to comment that I read your blog post, read this psalm the next day and then went to church for a leadership training. Lo and behold, this was the same passage of scripture the training was based on πŸ™‚ hehe. God is amazing!

    Have you heard of Louie Giglio Alex? πŸ™‚ If not, get a copy of his DVD called INdescribable and How great is our God, this will totally blow your mind away. And will give you a whole new perspective of this psalm πŸ™‚

    Keep em blogs coming πŸ˜‰
